Yes, the name of our store is from "ABFAB" or "Absolutely Fabulous," the cult British comedy series from the 1990's starring (from left to right) Jennifer Saunders as bumbling but aspirational Edina Monsoon, Julia Sawalha as her oppressed daughter Saffie, Jane Horrocks as ditzy assistant Bubble, and Joanna Lumley as bad influence Patsy Stone.
Edina: "I'm opening a shop, Pats."
Patsy: "...what are you going to sell?"
Edina: "...just gorgeous things, you know."
Edina: "Gorgeous, tasteful, little stylish little gorgeous things."
Whenever Patsy and Edina go out shopping, they rarely have any specific purchase in mind, only "little gorgeous things."
Our website has developed over the years in a similar way-- a mixture of chance, coincidence, flashes of inspiration, and accidental juxtapositions. Enjoy! We do mean well, and welcome your firstname.lastname@example.org
GUARANTEE AND RETURNS: We promise to treat every return request on a case-by-case basis, and to treat you the way we would like to be treated, and do what is fair.
If you are returning an item in new condition, with the original product packaging, within 30 days of the date of delivery, you will automatically receive a full refund of the original purchase, including the original shipping cost. Other return situations are at our discretion.
You usually have to pay your own return shipping, but we may make exceptions depending on the situation. The good news is, WE DO NOT CHARGE ANY RESTOCKING FEES!

EXCHANGES: We are happy to exchange items, and typically will offer to pay the extra shipping costs ourselves, to help you find the item that works for you. There are some exceptions for very heavy items, and this is at our discretion.
PRICE GUARANTEE/ PRICE MATCH/ PRICE PROTECTION: We strive to offer a competitive, fair price. If you find a lower price, including shipping, from another vendor, we will do our best to verify and match or beat that price for you. If you notice that we have lowered our price on something you purchased in the last 30 days, let us know via email and we'll refund you the difference.
SHIPPING IN USA: Orders totaling $.01 to $29.94 pay a flat rate of $5.95 for shipping. MOST ORDERS OF $29.95 AND UP SHIP FOR FREE. (We put the word "most" there because occasionally there is a heavy wrought iron piece or a piece of furniture that we cannot ship for free without losing money. In that case we'll email you with an additional shipping charge for your approval before charging your card.)
Most orders under a pound are sent via FIRST CLASS MAIL. Orders over a pound are sent via PRIORITY MAIL, UPS, or FEDEX depending on weight and location.
EXPEDITED, EXPRESS, AND SPECIFIC SHIPPING METHODS: just let us know in the comments section of your order, and we'll be happy to accommodate you, although there may be an additional charge. Express shipping will incur additional charges. When the website first processes your order, it will show only the usual $5.95 or FREE shipping charge. When we review your order, and you have requested special, express, or international service, we will then personally contact you, to let you know if the service is available on that item, what additional charges are necessary, and receive your approval.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: we regret that at this time we are unable to accept any international orders
KIND TO TREES: We recycle packing materials when possible to reduce costs and be "green." So if your order arrives in a box that isn't brand new and bleached pure white, please try and be content that it's a box that's been recycled for more than one use.
PAYMENT METHODS: We automatically accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Paypal. Need another payment method such as purchase order or personal check? Please email us.
CONTACTING YOU: We may need to contact you for additional information after we review your order. PLEASE GIVE US A VALID TELEPHONE AND EMAIL ADDRESS that you check regularly and that will not send our messages to a spam folder. If you do not check your email, please tell us to contact you, if necessary, by phone. You can indicate this in the comment section of the checkout process.
YOUR BILLING AND SHIPPING ADDRESS: you must correctly enter the billing address for your credit card, where you are currently receiving your statement. If this is not entered correctly it will flag your order for additional security reviews and may delay your order.
OUR STORY: We began in 1995 in a lovely location at the very tip of Cape Cod, right on the harbor in Provincetown, Massachusetts, USA. Although that original Provincetown retail storefront is now closed, we offer a special "hello" and "thank you" to those devoted customers in Provincetown who became friends over the years.
Our goals are excellence in service, selection, design, and a fair price. We believe there's something special about each item we sell.
