This top of this handsome box flips up to reveal a square cavity in the pyramid, roughly 3 inches square and 2 inches deep. The box has a very heavy weight, and attractive metallic bronze sheen, from the real metallic powder cast into the resin. There is a large figure of an Egyptian god cut into each of the four sides: Anubis, Sekhmet, Isis, and Horus. Hieroglyphics are also incised into the material and highlighted with a dark patina.
Overall it's not a flashy piece, it has a nice sort-of hand-rubbed patina that looks almost antique. It's a very attractive box-- when we unwrapped one to look at it, the first comment made was "I'll have to have one of these."
