This lion sculpture is hand made from silver wire, and is part of the popular collectible Doodles series of wire sculptures. This lion is larger than most of the Doodles sculptures, measuring an impressive 17 inches long. We liked it in pictures, but were really impressed when we finally lifted one out of the box... we both said "wow" at the same time... it has really a beautiful and sophisticated representation of a male lion with a large mane.
The artist, True Chu of Hangzou China, was a renowned professor at the China Academy of Art, and has won numerous awards at the China Urban Sculpture Expo for his work in sculpture, urban planning, architecture and public landscaping design. All our distinctive hand formed wire creations earn a contribution for a rural Chinese artisan community.
