Marie St. Hilaire
Marie St. Hilaire, a native of Nova Scotia, moved to the Cape some 25 years ago. She is a self taught artist and has been showing professionally for the last six years. Marie describes her work as being about "This that and the other thing." Her medium is found objects combined with paintings. "The process," she states, "takes her to its own place." As she builds and works on a piece it evolves on its own. Marie's work had been exhibited in several venues including the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, (PAAM), The Cape Cod Art Association, and on stage in the production of "Rope" at the Proscenium Theater in Boston, MA.
